Entrepreneur and Ex Managing Director of First Choice
Retail. John was the Mastermind behind the revolutionary ‘Holiday
Hypermarket’ concept. Taking the original pilot idea from the corner
of a Co-op food store to 38 full blown 10,000 sq. ft superstores in 3
years and selling them to First Choice Group for £55 million.
Passionate about innovation and focus on the customer,
John is a model example of how to take on and beat National (High Street
names) companies.
With a career spanning 30 years in Senior Management with
HP Sauce, Co-op Retail, Co-op Travel and Littlewoods he has a very impressive
track record for producing innovation with results, a rare combination.
He started out as a professional footballer with Aston
Villa FC and Norwich City and has carried the desire and will to win into
his business life whilst keeping his feet firmly on the ground.
His talks on innovation are inspirational and practical,
using real life examples to convey a powerful message to the audience
in a humorous and thought provoking delivery.
