Notice about passports

Originally published: Tuesday, September 5, 1939

Validity of all endorsements on existing British passports has been cancelled, and further endorsement is now necessary.

No person may leave the country without an exit permit from the Passport and Permit Office, together with leave from the immigration officer at the port of departure.

For journeys between Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Eire, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man, passports will not be necessary.
