Take care over gas supply

Originally published: Tuesday, September 5, 1939

Gas supply should be turned off during air raids, but special care should be taken when the main is turned on again that no gas is escaping from jets which were burning when the supply was cut off and not relit afterwards.

Especially remember small pilot lights on refrigerators, gas stoves and water heaters, which should be lit as soon as possible after the raid.
